Insight in the Community

Insight prides itself on ethical and socially responsible practice. As part of our corporate social responsibility commitment, since 2001 we have provided pro-bono communication and critical healthcare support to the Bairo Pité Clinic in Dili, Timor-Leste.

This support began by creating and managing partnerships with leading Australian healthcare facilities to provide life-saving medical treatment for seriously ill Timorese. We are part of a network of people who also provide support and comfort for patients and the family members who accompany them, such as Baby Maria and her mother Lorencia when in 2006, Maria received life-saving care from some of the world’s finest paediatricians at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.

Insight’s efforts for the Clinic also include initiating direct mail appeals and creating media opportunities in partnership with the Australian Foundation for People of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP) including campaign management and events such as the launch of the ‘I Am Woman’ CD held at Parliament House in Melbourne.

The project which features on Givewell as the April 2008 Project Spotlight has raised vital funds for the Clinic as part of a strategic Mother’s Day Appeal to improve healthcare services for the women, babies and children cared for by the Clinic.
